Aphasia or (It Fell Upon My Mind) is combination digital animation and hand-drawn rotoscoping used to spend time with people who suffer from the speech/hearing disorder aphasia. Aphasia is often onset by stroke or brain injury and impacts a person’s ability to speak and comprehend. Although this condition affects more people globally than Alzheimer’s disease, it is far less known and understood. This short film spends time listening to the perspectives of seven diverse individuals who live with aphasia.
